This component is manufactured via insert overmolding process. Pre-fabricated motor core metal inserts are positioned inside customized injection mold cavity, then thermoplastic resin is injected to fully encapsulate partial or whole insert structure. Raw insert materials include cold rolled steel, silicon steel sheet and copper terminal as per dimensional drawings; overmolding thermoplastics adopt PA66, PBT, PP or ABS based on operating ambient requirements.
Product Description
1. Basic Construction
This component is manufactured via insert overmolding process. Pre-fabricated motor core metal inserts are positioned inside customized injection mold cavity, then thermoplastic resin is injected to fully encapsulate partial or whole insert structure. Raw insert materials include cold rolled steel, silicon steel sheet and copper terminal as per dimensional drawings; overmolding thermoplastics adopt PA66, PBT, PP or ABS based on operating ambient requirements.
2. Dimensional & Tolerance Specification
All finished parts comply with customer’s 2D/3D CAD drawing dimensions. Machining tolerance of pre-metal insert controls within ±0.03mm; post overmolding overall dimension tolerance ranges ±0.08mm. Inner bore, mounting hole and positioning slot maintain consistent geometric tolerance after molding without plastic shrinkage deformation interfering with motor assembly.
3. Physical & Functional Property
Overmolded plastic layer forms integrated insulation shell for built-in motor metal insert. The integrated structure eliminates secondary assembly between metal stator/rotor component and plastic housing. Insulation resistance of plastic cladding exceeds industry standard for low-voltage motor application; structure resists minor vibration during motor continuous operation to prevent insert looseness inside plastic body.
4. Applicable Assembly Condition
Designed for small DC brush motor, stepping motor and miniature drive motor assembly used in household appliances, automotive auxiliary modules and industrial small actuators. Parts support press-fit installation onto motor spindle and fixed mounting via reserved plastic positioning holes.
5. Processing Control
Raw material incoming inspection for metal insert hardness and plastic particle impurity; in-mold positioning fixture ensures insert no offset during injection; post-production full dimensional sampling inspection and insulation property spot check.
